The study room of your children needs a lot of positive energy and the concept of Fengshui serves as the best source for the flow of positive Chi in your kid’s study room. The following is a few tips for your children study table.

1. Avoid placing your study table next to the door as your kid’s can easily distracted by the activities outside of may not be able to concentrate on his or her studies.

2. Never place your study table in such a way that your back face towards the door when you sit down. The opening and closing of the door may disrupt and affect the concentration of your mind.

3. Never position your child study table below a toilet on the upper floor as this generates negative energy.

4. Try not to have your child sit directly in front of a window. Your may not be able to concentrate on his or her studies.

5. The earth element activates education and study luck for the student Try to position your study table in the Northeast corner of the study room.

6. Smooth river stones, geode bookends and crystal paperweights are all good decorations to add to the study table as they stimulate the earth element.

7. Ensure there is sufficient lighting at the place where the study table is located.

8. Keep the study table of your kids clutter-free.

9. Never place your study table under an overhead beam.

Fengshui and Toilet Bowl

The following is a few Fengshui tips on the toilet bowl in your space.

1. Clean your toilet regularly.

2. Never position your bed in such a way that it can overlook the toilet bowl. Foul odour and water vapour that is rushing towards the direction of your bed would bring forth ill health and bad luck.

3. Keep the toilet bowl lid closed when not in use. This helps to control the 'impure' energy from escaping into the environment.

4. The toilet bowl itself should not be facing the bathroom door directly.

5. If the toilet bowl is located in the southwest sector of your space, your love luck will be badly affected. To overcome this problem, hang a five-rod wind chime above the toilet bowl. Place a mirror on the outside of the toilet door will also to neutralize the negative effect.

6. On another hand, if your toilet is located in the southeast sector, place a small round mirror directly above the toilet bowl on the ceiling to reflect water flushing to symbolize “fountain gushing” energy.

7. If the toilet is located in the center of the house (the prosperity part), place a full-length mirror on the bathroom. The mirror will help deflect chi and also create an illusion of the toilet not being there.

8. Keep a bowl of pebbles or fresh flower arrangement on the toilet tank or on a shelf above the toilet. Both pebbles and fresh flower stimulate the earth element, they help you to control the water and counteract opportunity and prosperity from being flushed away by your toilet bowl.

9. Repair your toilet bowl immediately if it is found faulty (or leak).

10. Don’t buy a unit with the front door facing a toilet.

Fengshui and Mirrors

Some schools in Fengshui believe that mirrors are able to attract, move, or redirect energy. The following is a few general rules in using mirrors for Fengshui. A piece of advice; mirrors in Fengshui should be used sparingly and only when necessary.

1. Avoid placing mirrors facing each other directly as it may affect the magnetic field of your space.

2. If your mirror of the toilet is facing the door, it may affect your love life.

3. Never place mirror facing the direction of wealth in your space.

4. Place a mirror behind the kitchen stove. A mirror hung behind the stove top burners magnifies wealth.

5. Hang above your desk or computer if your back is facing a door.

6. Always make sure mirrors are hung so everyone can see their full head.

7. Use only quality mirrors that reflect a true undistorted image.

8. Avoid placing your mirror in such a way that you are able to see your own image while lying on the bed.

9. Clean your mirrors regularly.

10. Avoid using too many mirrors in your space.

Fengshui and Rice Cooker

Many Chinese own a rice cooker at home, but most still don't know what are the do's and don'ts of having a rice cooker. The following is a few Fengshui tips on having a rice cooker.

1. Keep your rice cooker clean at all times.

2. A rice cooker can help to stimulate the fire elements in your kitchen.

3. As your rice cooker belongs to the fire elements, it should be placed some distance away from the fridge and sink, which are the water elements.

4. Repair or change your rice cooker when it is faulty.

5. Cook only the right amount of rice (not too much or too little).

6. Place your rice cooker in East or Southeast sector of the kitchen.

7. Never place your rice cooker near the toilet.

8. In the orient the rice cooker is considered prosperity. Place one mirror to the left, right or back of the rice cooker so that you can see that you have duplicated cooker, it help to duplicate your prosperity.

9. Wash the inner pot of your rice cooker with some salt water before you first use it.

10. Nothing should be put on top of washing machines, especially rice cooker.

Most of us own a telephone set at home. The following is a few Fengshui tips of how the phone can affects our life.

1. Never place the telephone near the window, as the sunshine may shorten the life span of your phone set.

2. Place the telephone set in the family area of your home (such as living room).

3. Another great place for the telephone set is the helpful people corner. It is located in the far front right corner, closest to where we sit.

4. Avoid having telephone set in the bedroom as that the place only meant for rest.

5. Shut away all electronics when it’s time for bed. Shut your phone off before bed time.

6. The phone line networks create harmful radiation. The damage leads to stressful state that is called the leaking vitality. Place a rock crystal near your phone can help to stabilize these energies.

7. Red is the color of activity. If you are a business man tie a red ribbon to the phone cord of your office to activate business calls.

8. Your phone numbers is not related to Fengshui.

9. Keep your telephone set and it’s surrounding clean.
